Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our organization as a Centre Manager for our Skill Development Centre for Underprivileged Children in Mangalore, Karnataka. As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring the smooth running of various programs and activities, and providing guidance and support to a team of instructors and volunteers. Your primary focus will be on skill development and empowerment of underprivileged children, enabling them to become self-reliant and thrive in their future endeavors.

Responsibilities:

Program Management:

Develop, implement, and manage skill development programs for underprivileged children, considering their specific needs and aspirations.

Coordinate and monitor the execution of various activities, including vocational training, educational support, life skills development, and career counseling.

Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry requirements, enabling children to acquire practical skills for employability and entrepreneurship.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a team of instructors and volunteers, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Provide guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate organizational goals, share best practices, and address challenges.

Resource Management:

Manage the center's resources effectively, including budget allocation, procurement of materials, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to secure funding, donations, and sponsorships for program sustainability and expansion.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to program activities, participant progress, and financial transactions.

Community Engagement:

Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local communities, NGOs, government agencies, and corporate entities to enhance program visibility and access to resources.

Organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and events to promote the center's mission and attract potential beneficiaries, sponsors, and supporters.

Act as a liaison between the center and external stakeholders, representing the organization in meetings, conferences, and networking events.

Evaluation and Improvement:

Monitor program outcomes and impact through regular assessment and evaluation, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance program effectiveness.

Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures to optimize program delivery and participant satisfaction.

Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in skill development and education for underprivileged children.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in MSW, Sociology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience in managing educational or skill development programs, preferably for underprivileged children.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Knowledge of vocational training, career counseling, and life skills development.

Familiarity with the challenges faced by underprivileged children and their communities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for empowering underprivileged children.
