Education
University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or similar domain with a specialization in mechanical or electrical systems
Key Responsibilities/Tasks
- Modelling and analyzing transmission systems through 3D FEM Modeling using Altair HyperWorks.
- Analyzing powertrain components for loads, stresses, and Lifetime.
- Calculating housings and other transmission components for hybrid and electric powertrain designs using simulation tools
- Preprocessing of geometry in Altair HyperMesh/SimLab
- Defining boundary conditions, perform Postprocessing and check for plausibility and Interpretation of simulation results
- Creating reports according to Magna Powertrain specifications and templates, including recommendations and proposals for design optimization
- Writing technical documents and presenting the results in an efficient manner
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- 3-10 years of professional experience working in the field of CAE simulations (preferably in automotive transmission systems)
- Advanced knowledge of the working principle of transmission systems
- Basic Knowledge of CATIA V5 Software
- Advanced Knowledge of SimLab, HyperMesh, Abaqus and FEMFAT
- Advanced Knowledge of Finite Element Methods and modeling
- Communication skills, self-initiative, and high level of accountability
- Highly motivated team player with ability to co-ordinate across geographies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
