Responsibilities

. The position will be for Bangalore/Noida location.
- Knowledge and experience of CAD tool 2D, 3D and Navisworks. Basic electrical principals
- Strong English communication skills, both written and oral
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and terminology
- Familiar with electrical design documents like:
- Area classification
- Single line diagrams
- Distribution panel layout
- Cable and conduit schedule
- Electrical schematics
- Lighting design
- Control panel c/w I/O schematics.
- Junction box layouts
- Process and building electrical and control layout.
- Electrical Heat trace design
- Electrical Bill of Materials
- Familiarity with Australian Electrical Code would be an added advantage.
- Must complete a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency. Shall follow internal QC processes.
- Perform review of engineering drawings, as per markups made by the Checkers. Verify to ensure drawings modifications are accurately and correctly conducted.
- Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule and budget requirements.
- Communicate with internal peers and project team and required to answer questions regarding deliverables.
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
- Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement.
- Be able to perform Material Take-Offs with CAD tool and excel.
- Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process.
- Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Lead Designer.
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
- Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills.
- Support the company’s approach to sustainability.
- Be able to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Be willing to learn and be polyvalent.
- Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.

- You will also be computer literate with a reasonable proficiency in MS office suite and Navisworks.

- Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Team.
- Work competently with minimal supervision or on an individual basis.
- The candidate must have a valid passport.

Desired Skills
- Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 4-8 years of experience in a consulting firm in O & G, Power Plant, Mineral processing using CAD tool.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-8 years of experience in Electrical 2D/3D drafting and modeling.
- Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to the detail.
- Familiar with working in a LEAN environment.
- Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
