We are looking for an experienced Buyer to manage procurement activities related to civil
construction materials, general items, and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
strategic sourcing, vendor management, timely procurement execution, cost control, and ensuring
quality compliance to support project requirements.
• Identify, source, and procure required materials, equipment, and services as per project timelines.
• Ensure timely release of Purchase Orders (POs) after proper evaluation and approvals.
• Track PR-to-PO cycle and follow up to ensure timely material delivery.
• Develop a strong vendor base for civil, mechanical & general procurement.
• Request & evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing and terms to achieve cost optimization.
• Maintain vendor performance evaluation sheets and approved vendor lists.
• Ensure materials meet specifications, standards & quality requirements.
• Coordinate QA checks, site inspections, and third-party testing when required.
• Maintain documentation for audits.
• Verify vendor bills with PO, DC, and GRN.
• Coordinate with site/finance for invoice approval and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor payment status and resolve invoice-related discrepancies.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with project budgets.
• Implement cost saving initiatives through alternate sourcing & benchmarking.
• Support reporting of cost variance and savings.
• Collaborate with Project, Store & Accounts teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain effective vendor communication for order follow-ups.
• Maintain procurement trackers (PR–PO–GRN–Invoice–Payment).
• Publish weekly/monthly procurement reports.
• Adhere to SOPs, and ERP/SAP procurement processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain / Civil / Mechanical or similar.
• 2–5 years of procurement experience in civil / general procurement.
• Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
• ERP/SAP & MS Excel proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.
