Job Description


Position Details

Participating in Investigation of new Special Projects for the products and collecting Techno-commercial details for business case evaluation for Accessories & Genuine parts.

2. Identifying the potential Suppliers for the products shortlisted out of investigation projects.

3. Collecting the details from Accessories Business Unit for preparation of Request For Quotations & Floating RFQ to Potential Suppliers

4. Instrumental in getting suppliers in Quality & Sustainability ratings of Potential Suppliers

5. Evaluation of techno-commercial and negotiation with potential suppliers

6. Providing the Techno-commercial offers (Estimations in case of new special projects feasibility) to Accessories Business Unit for Business case evaluation

7. Nomination of Supplier through Indian Sourcing committee and issue the Nomination to supplier

8. Evaluating technical change requests (Techno-commercial evaluation of supplier offers, Negotiation with suppliers and communication to Accessories Business Unit for Business case evaluation)

9. Issuing Tooling Purchase Order, getting BEON (PPAP) approvals and Tooling Payments to Nominated suppliers

10. Handling and Settlement of supplier price revision requests (Post End of production for Genuine parts & post Start of production for Accessories) with forex, Raw Material monitoring

11. Handing over the product to Logistics for regular procurement/ Accessories Team for part Development.

12. Ensuring the Capacity as per the Volume forecast provided by Accessories Product Management/ Aftersales Logistics for Genuine parts.

13. Evaluation of localization for Genuine parts/ child parts required after End of Production

14. Check and negotiate cost optimization during an entire project lifecycle of Accessories/ Post end of production for Genuine parts.

15. Support Accessories team & Aftersales Logistics for escalations

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of Buyer for Accessories/Genuine parts :

1. Identifying potential suppliers for variety of Genuine parts & Accessory products for challenging low volumes

2. Sourcing & Nomination of Genuine parts & Accessories for VW & SK Brand for regular & special editions

3. Handling engineering change requests of Accessories.

4. Price settlement of serviceable child parts in coordination with series buyer.

5. Handling and Settlement of supplier price revision requests (Post nomination) Post End of production.

6. Working on various Investigation projects as per requirement of Business development

7. Support for parts availability as per SAVW quality norms and enhancing capacity for high consumption of parts

8. Co-ordination with Accessory Business Unit (ABU) and Aftersales Logistics on supply of parts

9. Management reporting & escalation for project related topics

Preferred candidate profile

Has experience with Price Settlement, Claim Settlements , Negotiations , Sourcing
