Job Overview: The Business Operation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management and growth of these brands within your portfolio. This role involves leading the commercial teams, managing credit and sales operations, and driving business development. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a proven track record in brand management. Key Roles: • Oversee the strategic management and growth of the brands within your portfolio. • Leading the Commercial Teams (Credit & Sales Execution). Guide and direct the teams responsible for credit management and sales operations related to these brands. Responsibilities: 1. Visit Principals to Understand Offerings and Get More Business: • Engage with brand principals to gain deeper insights into their products and services. • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business relationships and increase brand representation. 2. Visit Customers to Grow Business: • Conduct regular visits to existing and potential customers to strengthen relationships and explore opportunities for business growth. • Understand customer needs and tailor brand offerings to meet those needs effectively. 3. Understand the Current Structure and Lead Them to Excellence: • Assess the current organizational and operational structure. • Implement improvements to drive operational excellence and enhance overall performance. 4. Follow Up on Credit/Overdues from Customers: • Monitor accounts receivable related sales. • Follow up on overdue payments and resolve credit issues to maintain healthy cash flow. 5. Product Placement and Learning: • Ensure effective product placement in the market to maximize visibility and sales. • Stay informed about product developments and market trends to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive advantage. 6. Ensure Sale of Non-Moving Stock: • Develop and execute strategies to move slow-moving or excess inventory of products. • Collaborate with the sales team to create promotions or offers to boost the sale of stagnant stock. 7. Motivating Team to Keep Performance Up to Expectations: • Inspire and motivate the commercial teams to achieve their targets and maintain high performance levels. • Provide ongoing support, feedback, and recognition to keep the team engaged and focused on their goals.8. Follow Up for Credit Notes from Principals: • Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on credit notes and claims from principals. • Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to credit notes. 9. Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: • Create and execute strategic plans for the growth and development of the brands. • Set clear goals and objectives to guide commercial activities and measure success. 10. Analyze Market Trends and Competitor Activity: • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and assess the competitive landscape. • Use insights to inform brand strategies and stay ahead of competitors. 11. Manage and Optimize Brand Performance Metrics: • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand sales, market share, and customer satisfaction. • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to address performance gaps. 12. Develop and Maintain Strong Relationships with Key Stakeholders: • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and partners. • Leverage these relationships to support brand growth and address any issues that arise. 13. Handle Escalations and Resolve Issues: • Address and resolve any escalations or issues related to brands in a timely and effective manner. • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Attributes: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
