Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end establishment of the India office, including infrastructure, vendor sourcing, and administrative functions.
  • Manage all legal and statutory registrations including company incorporation, labor laws, taxation, and industry-specific compliance.
  • Design and implement operational processes to optimize efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks—legal, financial, and operational—to ensure smooth and secure business continuity.
  • Oversee client service operations and ensure delivery excellence aligned with SLAs.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction and operational performance through KPIs.
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies that balance Indian workplace norms with global company standards.
  • Establish KPIs to track and enhance employee productivity and retention.
  • Supervise budgeting, accounting, and local financial compliance.
  • Generate detailed financial and operational reports with actionable insights for leadership.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and scalable vendor partnerships.
  • Liaise with global departments to ensure India operations are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and standards.
  • Manage office facilities, procurements, and administrative services to ensure a productive work environment.
  • Serve as the go-to person for all India-based operational matters, facilitating inter-departmental coordination and issue resolution.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in business operations and project management.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing operations in India.
  • Proven experience in setting up new offices and ensuring legal and statutory compliance.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and client service functions in an international organization (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, taxation, and business regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance management.
  • Hands-on experience with operations and HR tools/software.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and risk mitigation abilities.
