Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Head to take complete ownership of our construction business. The role requires a sharp, hands-on leader who can monitor daily operations, drive growth strategies, control costs, and scale the business sustainably. The Business Head will work closely with founders, project teams, and external partners to ensure smooth execution and profitability across all verticals.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Strategy

  • Own the overall business performance – revenue, profitability, and growth.
  • Design and execute short-term and long-term business strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities, projects, partnerships, and expansions.
  • Set clear business goals and track KPIs regularly.

Operations & Daily Monitoring

  • Monitor day-to-day construction activities across all projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
  • Review daily/weekly progress reports from site teams and project managers.
  • Resolve operational bottlenecks quickly and effectively.

Financial & Cost Control

  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow, and project-level profitability.
  • Control costs related to materials, labour, vendors, and overheads.
  • Approve major expenditures and ensure financial discipline across projects.

Team & Leadership

  • Lead and manage project managers, engineers, architects, procurement, and admin teams.
  • Build a performance-driven culture with accountability at every level.
  • Conduct regular reviews and guide teams for continuous improvement.

Client, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, vendors, and authorities.
  • Ensure strong vendor negotiations and long-term supplier relationships.
  • Handle escalations and maintain client satisfaction.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with statutory norms, safety regulations, and local approvals.
  • Identify risks related to execution, finance, or legal matters and mitigate proactively.

  • Strong strategic thinking and execution ability
  • Deep understanding of construction operations and project lifecycle
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Financial acumen with cost and margin control expertise
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Management
  • MBA or equivalent management qualification is an added advantage
