Job Description

Role Overview: You will be working as a Business Development Specialist at SOMFY, playing a crucial role in expanding the customer base by creating and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders in the commercial building industry. Your responsibilities will include promoting the company's value proposition, executing sales strategies, developing incentive programs, and maintaining customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and develop a network of new stakeholders within the commercial building industry such as Contractors, Developers, Architects, Technical Consultants, New Tenants, and Project Management Consultants. - Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to establish connections and build relationships. - Clearly articulate and promote the company's value proposition to new commercial customers, demonstrating how products/services contribute to Sustainability Goals. - Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs within the commercial building segment. - Execute targeted sales strategies to drive new customer acquisitions and expand market presence. - Design and implement incentive programs to motivate and reward new commercial customers. - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management using CRM systems. - Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded. - Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as established by sales leadership. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. - Experience: 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the commercial building or construction industry. - Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial building products, services, and market dynamics. - Skills: Strong networking and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
