Business Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Renewable Energy and Distribution segments.
• Engage with utilities, DISCOMs, SLDCs, renewable IPPs, and government bodies for business development.
• Promote IT-enabled solutions including load/RE forecasting, IEMS, DSM/energy accounting modules, Samast etc.
• Understand client requirements and coordinate with technical teams for proposal and solution preparation.
• Participate in tendering activities, proposal documentation, and pre-bid discussions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business growth.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry mapping to identify trends and opportunities.
• Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and customer meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering or Management. Specialization in the Power/Energy sector preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in BD in the Power Sector (RE and/or Distribution).
• Familiarity with utility operations, bidding processes, and regulatory environment in India.
• Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills.
• Proactive, self-driven, and target-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel as per business needs.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in selling or positioning IT/automation solutions to utilities or RE clients.
• Prior involvement in government tenders or techno-commercial discussions in the power domain.
