Software Project Manager

You should possess strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with strategic goals. Your key responsibilities will include defining project scope, developing work breakdown structures, creating timelines, and setting delivery milestones. You will also need to facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming to ensure smooth Agile workflows. Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable user stories and prioritizing tasks effectively will be crucial. Tracking project execution, ensuring alignment with plans, monitoring risks, managing dependencies, resolving roadblocks, and allocating tasks based on team capacity and expertise for optimal resource utilization are essential duties. Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress and issues, ensuring adherence to defined quality standards, overseeing integration with testing frameworks, tracking budget vs. actuals, handling financial forecasting, and deviation analysis are significant aspects of the role. You will be responsible for maintaining a risk register, planning and implementing mitigation strategies, managing scope changes through a formal change control process, ensuring delivery acceptance, documenting lessons learned, and formal closure of projects. Key result areas for this role include on-time project delivery, adherence to project budgets, compliance with software quality standards, high stakeholder satisfaction levels, strong team collaboration and morale, effective scope management, and proactive resolution of project risks and issues. In terms of technical skills, proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Asana, Trello, and Monday.com, familiarity with Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies, and knowledge of software lifecycle phases are required. Additionally, experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, testing frameworks including Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP for deployment pipelines, and reporting and analytics skills using Excel, Power BI, velocity, and burndown metrics are essential. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, PMP, CSM, or SAFe certification, demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects, and strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.,
