Storoot is a Kerala-based sustainable design studio crafting handmade bamboo and cane lighting, décor, and corporate gifting solutions. We work closely with artisans and designers to deliver beautiful, eco-friendly products for homes, resorts, architects, and global buyers.

We are now expanding our digital presence and customer base—looking for a Business Development Officer who can take charge of lead management, digital communication, and conversion.

Role Summary

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for driving sales growth through digital platforms, converting Instagram/Meta leads into customers, maintaining strong communication with clients, and supporting the backend operations of Storoot’s digital business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Management & Sales Conversion

  • Handle daily incoming leads from Instagram, Meta Ads, WhatsApp, and website.
  • Qualify leads, understand customer requirements, and convert them to orders.
  • Maintain follow-up systems to track hot, warm, and cold leads.
  • Coordinate with the production team for product availability, timelines, and custom requirements.
  • Maintain enquiry records, quotations, and conversion reports.

2. Digital Business Handling

  • Manage Storoot’s digital platforms including Instagram, Meta, WhatsApp Business, Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy (basic level).
  • Respond to customer messages, comments, and enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in posting stories, reels, and catalogue updates when required.
  • Support in maintaining product listings, descriptions, and stock status on digital platforms.

3. Communication & Client Relationship

  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, architects, designers, and vendors.
  • Explain product features, customization options, delivery timelines, and pricing clearly.
  • Ensure professional and friendly interaction representing Storoot’s brand values.
  • Schedule calls, send quotations, and share product catalogues effectively.

4. Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with the founder and marketing team for smoother digital operations.
  • Track daily enquiries, conversions, dispatches, and feedback.
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Support in offline B2B/B2C enquiries and showroom visitors when required.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills (English + Malayalam mandatory).
  • Good proficiency in smartphone and digital apps (especially Instagram, Meta, WhatsApp Business).
  • Ability to handle customers professionally and confidently.
  • Basic understanding of online sales, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Organised, proactive, and good at follow-ups.
  • Ability to explain products clearly and close sales.
  • Interest in design, interiors, or handcrafted products (bonus).

Qualifications

  • Any degree (Business, Marketing, Design, or related fields preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, digital marketing, or business development.
  • Freshers with strong communication and digital skills may also apply.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
