Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager Pune

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Business Development

Identify, target, and acquire new B2B clients across manufacturing, pharma, logistics, automotive, FMCG, and infrastructure sectors in and around Pune region.
Prospect key accounts and engage decision-makers (CXOs, IT Heads, Plant Heads, etc.)
Map customer requirements to company portfolio (RFID, Machine Vision, Mobile Computing, Factory Automation, etc.)

2. Account Management

Build strong relationships with key accounts in the Pune industrial belt.
Develop strategic account plans for major clients and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Work with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

3. Proposal & Solution Selling

Understand client challenges and craft tailored digital automation proposals with the pre-sales team.
Prepare RFP/RFQ responses, techno-commercial proposals, and client presentations.
Drive consultative and value-based selling approach.

4. Market Intelligence & Reporting

Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and technology trends in the Pune region.
Maintain accurate sales funnel data in CRM and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology; MBA in Marketing or Operations is preferred.
5+ years of experience in industrial/enterprise B2B sales.
Strong understanding of automation, AIDC, RFID, or smart manufacturing tech is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and a strong team player.
Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi .
