We manufacture and market a range of high-quality tableware, glassware, mugs and related home products trusted by retailers, corporates and hospitality clients. We are hiring a driven Business Development & Sales Executive to grow our presence in the Chennai market and develop corporate gifting opportunities.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for developing new business and managing key accounts across a metro city, with a strong emphasis on B2B sales Retail sales, E-commerce and corporate gifting programs. This role requires a proactive sales-manager who understands the homeware/tableware category, can build relationships with corporate buyers and procurement teams, and close deals that drive sustained revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and convert corporate accounts, institutional buyers and channel partners in a city.

  • Develop and execute corporate gifting programs and proposals for offices, events and employee/client gifting.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, product demonstrations, quotations, negotiations and closure.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate procurement teams, HR/event managers, retailers and institutional buyers.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets; maintain accurate pipeline and update CRM regularly.

  • Prepare client proposals, commercial quotes and sales presentations tailored to corporate requirements.

  • Provide market feedback, competitor intelligence and demand insights to the Business Development & Marketing teams.

  • Represent the company at client meetings, product presentations and on-ground events as needed.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven sales experience selling homeware, tableware, decor items, glassware, mugs or closely related product categories.

  • Preferably an MBA or a postgraduate qualification; strong sales performers with relevant experience may be considered.

  • Demonstrable experience selling to retails, e-commerce, corporate buyers / B2B clients and executing corporate gifting programs is a strong plus.

Skills & Attributes

  • Fluent in English, with strong regional & multi-lingual spoken accumen ability to communicate comfortably with corporate clients.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate customer needs into profitable solutions.

  • Self-starter with high drive, discipline and a hunger to exceed targets.

  • Comfortable with field selling, regular client visits and face-to-face negotiations.

  • Proficient with MS Excel, email, WhatsApp and basic CRM usage.

  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
