Business Development Manager

Job Summary
Kalyan Silks is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead and accelerate our growth in the textile retail sector. The ideal candidate will work closely with Zonal Managers, understand regional business challenges, and drive strategies to improve performance, revenue, and customer engagement across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and improve performance across retail zones
• Collaborate with Zonal Managers to assess market trends and execute strategic plans
• Use Microsoft Excel to track sales data, prepare business reports, and identify actionable insights
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams for effective implementation
• Monitor and ensure achievement of sales and performance targets
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to regional/zonal teams
• Conduct regular visits to showrooms to review progress and identify growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the textile retail industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Strong knowledge of strategic planning and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software, with experience using Salesforce being highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
