The Business Development Manager will lead outreach and promotional efforts targeting schools, colleges, and educational fairs to drive student recruitment and brand growth for the university or institution. This position is responsible for forging relationships with educational institutions, managing admissions counselling, organizing events such as campus tours and open houses, and implementing engagement strategies to guide prospective students through the application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Promotion: Visit schools and colleges, deliver presentations, and engage with prospective students and their parents to promote programs and offerings.
- Event Planning: Organize campus tours, open houses, webinars, and admission events to showcase facilities and courses.
- Admissions Counselling: Advise prospective students about courses and guide them through admissions processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey.
- Lead Generation and Conversion: Collect prospective student data, implement nurturing strategies, and follow up regularly to increase enrollment rates.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with school counsellors, educational consultants, and external partners to expand institutional outreach.
- Digital Campaigns: Develop and run social media and email marketing initiatives to engage new leads and drive online applications.
- Data Analysis: Analyze admission trends, feedback, and campaign performance to optimize strategies and improve conversion.
- Continuous Engagement: Maintain post-application contact with students to manage concerns and encourage enrolment.
- Target Monitoring: Track admissions targets, report progress, and identify new growth opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure efficient operation and address admissions challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, admissions counselling, or marketing within the education sector (school/university outreach strongly preferred).
- Excellent public speaking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions.
- Proficiency with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and data analysis tools.
- Event management and organizational skills.
- Capable of independent work and effective collaboration within a team.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel for outreach and events.
- Experience in student admissions, lead generation, or educational outreach is a strong advantage.
