We are a leading System Integrator Organization expanding our Government Business operations across India. To strengthen our regional presence, we are looking for experienced Business Managers to lead government business development in Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, and Kolkata.

Role Overview

The Business Manager (Government Business) will be responsible for driving government business opportunities in the assigned region, managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and ensuring seamless coordination with Head Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage government business opportunities in the assigned region.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with state/central government departments, municipal corporations, PSUs, and agencies.

  • Knowledge about the entire sales cycle: opportunity identification, proposal preparation, tender participation, and follow-ups.

  • Ensure timely reporting and coordination with Head Office.

  • Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and business updates.

  • Support operations and execution of government projects when required.

Regional Focus

  • Mumbai (Western Region): Working Experience with Maharashtra Government Departments, PSUs, and local municipal bodies. Knowledge of Marathi preferred.

  • Delhi/NCR (Northern Region): Expertise in working with Central Government Departments, NIC/NICSI, Delhi based PSUs, and agencies.

  • Kolkata (Eastern Region): Experience with West Bengal Government Departments, local corporations, and Eastern India PSUs. Knowledge of Bengali preferred.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business/Management/Engineering or related field.

  • 710 years experience in Government Business Handling in the respective local region.

  • In-depth knowledge of government procurement, tendering, and empanelment processes.

  • Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi (regional language an advantage).

  • Strong analytical, proposal writing, and negotiation skills.

  • Must belong to the local region with proven networks in the government ecosystem.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and report to Head Office.
