Business Development Manager


Responsibilities


Market Research:

  • Conduct market research.

Lead Generation:

  • Manage LinkedIn Ads and track lead generation performance.
  • Create LinkedIn Ads content.

Socials:

  • Engage with prospects and clients via comments and DMs on socials.
  • Make new LinkedIn connections with clients target audience.

Events:

  • Source and set up speaking engagements and networking opportunities.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Set up processes in the CRM for effective prospect/client engagement monitoring.
  • Track lead generation, social engagement, prospecting, sales, and repeat business data.
  • Ensure all prospect/client data and interactions are stored in the CRM.
  • Conduct trend analysis for prospects and clients.
  • Generate business development reports to inform strategy.

Client Journey:

  • Implement structured follow-up processes to nurture leads and suggest services.
  • Create and manage structured prospect and client engagement journeys with timelines.
  • Develop and execute client and prospect feedback strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategies for repeat business and referrals.
  • Produce client case studies and testimonials.
  • Produce client impact reports and related data.
  • Develop and execute the partnerships plan.
  • Re-engage clients/prospects on the quiet list by arranging calls.
  • Prepare for and facilitate initial meetings and follow-ups.
  • Create individual plans of action (POA) for clients/prospects.
  • Book and facilitate prospect/client catch-up meetings.
  • Book and facilitate client feedback meetings.

Marketing Content:

  • Plan and create additional email campaigns between monthly newsletters.

Media:

  • Source opportunities for articles.
  • Source media/press opportunities.
  • Source and apply for awards (EDI awards, Learning awards, Business awards, etc.).

Events:

  • Source and set up speaking engagements and networking opportunities.


Requirements

  • Experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn Ads, lead generation, and CRM tools.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with prospects and clients.
  • Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to plan, track, and report on performance data to inform strategy.
