Job Description

Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager - Commercial, your main responsibility will be to drive the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities, securing new commercial clients, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. You will be involved in developing strategies to increase revenue, enhance market position, and establish long-term business partnerships. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Business Growth: Identify and pursue new commercial business opportunities, including partnerships, new clients, and market expansion. - Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to develop effective business strategies. - Lead Generation: Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify potential clients and new revenue streams. - Sales Strategy: Create and execute business development strategies and sales plans to achieve revenue targets and organizational goals. - Client Acquisition & Retention: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and presenting to closing deals and maintaining long-term client relationships. - Negotiation & Proposal Creation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Prepare and present proposals to potential clients. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development, finance) to ensure alignment on business objectives and deliverables. - Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing commercial clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further business. - Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities. Track sales metrics and use data to drive strategy. - Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to raise the company's profile and develop strategic relationships. Qualifications: - Education: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred. - Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial management, preferably in a B2B environment. Additional Details: The company is looking for a candidate with strong understanding of sales strategies, lead generation, and commercial partnerships. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are required along with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and acquiring new commercial clients. The ideal candidate should also possess the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, strong analytical skills, experience with sales forecasting and reporting tools, proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and Microsoft Office Suite. Desired attributes include strong business acumen, self-motivation, exceptional interpersonal skills, high level of organization, and ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.,
