Job Description – Business Development Manager

Position: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Industry: Building Materials (Tiles, Sanitary Ware, Bath Fittings, CP Fittings, Marble/Granite )

Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify new business opportunities in the Tiles, Sanitary Ware, and Bath Fittings segment.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Pitch products to dealers, architects, builders, contractors, interior designers, and institutional clients.
  • Expand the dealer/distributor network across assigned regions.

2. Market Development

  • Conduct market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, and promotional activities.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients for repeat business.
  • Build long-term relationships with architects, builders, OEM clients, and channel partners.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client queries and complaints.

4. Product Promotion

  • Conduct product demos, presentations, and sampling at client locations.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, dealer meets, and promotional events.
  • Promote new product launches and ensure visibility at retail counters.

5. Operational & Reporting

  • Track and manage sales pipeline using CRM tools (if applicable).
  • Prepare weekly/monthly visit reports, sales forecasts, and MIS.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, accounts, marketing) for smooth operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Tiles, Sanitary Ware, CP Fittings, or Building Material Industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation & presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle B2B sales, dealer management, and project sales.
  • Good networking with architects, builders, and channel partners.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
