About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving our growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for researching potential clients, initiating contact, nurturing relationships, and setting the stage for successful conversions. The ideal candidate has a sharp business acumen, a proactive approach to networking, and a strong understanding of the digital marketing and advertising landscape.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and qualify potential leads through research, networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Build a robust database of prospects and maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities.
  • Proactively reach out to new clients via calls, emails, and LinkedIn to introduce the agency’s offerings.


Outreach & Client Acquisition

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to secure meetings and initiate business discussions.
  • Understand client pain points, marketing goals, and budgets to tailor proposals effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior team members during pitch and proposal stages.


Relationship Building

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to increase visibility.


Sales Pipeline Management

  • Manage and track the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Ensure smooth handovers to the client servicing and creative teams post-acquisition.


Reporting & Insights

  • Provide regular reports on lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline status.
  • Share insights on emerging industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy.


Key Skills & Attributes

  • 5-6 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a marketing or advertising agency.
  • Strong lead generation and prospecting abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
