The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and strengthening relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and project consultants for the promotion and sales of metal ceiling systems. The role demands a strong understanding of the construction, building materials, and interior design industry.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction and interiors sector (builders, architects, consultants, and contractors).
• Promote and sell metal ceiling products to meet sales targets.
• Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and project managers for product specification in upcoming projects.
• Generate leads through site visits, networking, cold calls, and participation in industry events/exhibitions.
• Understand client requirements, provide technical support, and suggest suitable ceiling solutions.
• Coordinate with the design and operations team to prepare proposals, quotations, and drawings.
• Track competitor activities and market trends to develop strategies.
• Maintain updated reports on leads, client visits, sales pipeline, and closures in CRM/software.
• Ensure timely payment collections from clients as per company policy.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
• Knowledge of construction materials, preferably ceilings, partitions, or related building products.
• Technical understanding of drawings/BOQs will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively.
• Graduate in Business, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, or related field (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in sales/business development in building materials (metal ceilings, false ceilings, facades, glass, flooring, etc.).
• Freshers with strong communication skills and an interest in construction/interior product sales may also be considered.
