Job Summary
The Business Development Executive (BDE) – Agriculture Equipment is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s presence in the agricultural sector. This role primarily focuses on remote market research, lead generation, and customer engagement to identify new opportunities, build strong business relationships, and promote the company’s range of agricultural equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proven sales experience in the agriculture equipment industry.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Remote Lead Generation
Conduct remote market research to identify potential customers and business opportunities.
Generate leads through cold calling, online platforms, digital networking, and virtual industry events.
Qualify and prioritize leads based on potential and business fit.
Sales & Relationship Management
Promote and sell agricultural equipment to farmers, agri-businesses, and dealers.
Build and maintain strong remote and in-person customer relationships.
Provide online product demonstrations and coordinate technical support with the internal team.
Negotiate sales terms, close deals, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Dealer Network Development (if applicable)
Identify and onboard new dealers to expand the company’s distribution network.
Provide product knowledge sessions and remote sales training to dealers.
Monitor dealer performance and support them in achieving sales goals.
Sales Planning & Reporting
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Prepare and share weekly/monthly sales reports with the Sales Manager.
Track lead conversion data and analyze market trends for forecasting.
Industry Knowledge & Networking
Stay updated on agricultural equipment technology and industry developments.
Represent the company in virtual and physical trade shows, conferences, and networking forums.
Promote the company’s brand and values in all professional interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in sales/business development, preferably in the agriculture equipment sector.
Strong understanding of agricultural practices and machinery.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently (remote capability essential).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and digital sales tools.
Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with specific agricultural equipment (tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, etc.).
Existing connections within the agriculture industry.
Familiarity with regional agricultural practices and market dynamics.

Achievement of assigned sales targets.
Number of qualified leads generated remotely.
Lead-to-customer conversion rate.
Customer satisfaction levels.
