Role Overview

The Business Development Associate (Government Exam Vertical) will play a key role in driving admissions for our government exam preparation programs. The role involves engaging with aspirants, counselling them effectively, and helping them choose the right preparation path. The BDA will handle the complete sales cycle—from lead engagement to enrollment—while maintaining high levels of learner satisfaction.

This is a performance-driven role that also demands empathy, strong communication, and a deep understanding of student challenges in the exam-preparation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with government exam aspirants through inbound and outbound calls.
  • Understand learner goals, challenges, level of preparation, and recommend appropriate courses.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly revenue and enrollment targets.
  • Conduct counselling sessions explaining course features, curriculum, mentorship, and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, lead stages, and follow-ups in the CRM.
  • Work closely with marketing, academics, and operations teams to ensure smooth learner onboarding.
  • Provide timely follow-ups and ensure excellent student experience throughout the funnel.
  • Handle objections and guide learners to make informed decisions.
  • Participate in student outreach events, webinars, and information sessions.
  • Share feedback from students to improve course offerings and marketing strategies.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

  • Enrollment Targets: Achieve monthly/quarterly student admissions.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Maintain healthy conversion from leads to admissions.
  • CRM Hygiene: Ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Student Satisfaction Score: Achieve high satisfaction and feedback ratings.
  • Follow-up Efficiency: Maintain structured follow-up cadence.
  • Coordination: Smooth handover from sales to operations and academic teams.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • Strong understanding of competitive exams (TNPSC/Banking/SSC preferred).
  • Ability to identify pain points and offer solutions.
  • Good command over CRM tools (Callyzer, LeadSquared, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Goal-oriented mindset with ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and ability to connect with students genuinely.
  • Problem-solving mindset and objection-handling skills.

Experience Requirements

  • Freshers/0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or academic counselling.
  • Prior experience in EdTech or exam-preparation industry is a strong advantage.
  • Freshers with strong communication and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
