Role Overview

Business Architect


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain

    business capability maps, value streams, and process models

    .
  • Align business architecture with

    strategic goals and transformation roadmaps

    .
  • Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to

    translate business needs into scalable solutions

    .
  • Identify opportunities to leverage

    AI/GenAI in insurance business processes

    .
  • Conduct

    current-state assessments

    and design

    target-state business architectures

    .
  • Support solution architects and product managers with

    business context and models

    .
  • Ensure alignment between

    business processes, data flows, and technology platforms

    .
  • Contribute to

    business case development, investment planning, and value realization tracking

    .


Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–12 years of experience in

    business analysis, enterprise/business architecture, or solution design

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    insurance operations

    (underwriting, claims, policy admin, distribution).
  • Exposure to

    AI/GenAI use cases

    in insurance or BFSI sectors.
  • Proficiency in

    business modeling techniques

    (BPMN, capability mapping, value streams).
  • Strong ability to

    drive cross-functional workshops and structured discovery sessions

    .
  • Familiarity with

    enterprise architecture frameworks

    (TOGAF, BIZBOK, etc.).
  • Excellent

    communication and documentation skills

    , with

    C-level stakeholder exposure

    .


Tech Stack / Tools

  • Business Modeling & Architecture Tools

    : ArchiMate, BizDesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, BPMN tools (Signavio, ARIS, Visio).

  • Enterprise Architecture Frameworks

    : TOGAF, BIZBOK, Zachman, SAFe.

  • Data & AI Platforms

    : AWS, Azure, GCP (knowledge of AI/ML/GenAI services), Data Lakes, Knowledge Graphs.

  • Insurance Core Platforms

    : Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco (exposure preferred).

  • Digital Platforms

    : Low-code/no-code tools (Mendix, OutSystems, Pega).

  • Collaboration & Agile Tools

    : Jira, Confluence, Miro, MS Teams.


Nice to Have

  • Certification in

    Business Architecture

    (BIZBOK, TOGAF, SAFe).
  • Hands-on experience working with

    AI delivery teams or product squads

    .
  • Familiarity with

    Agile delivery

    and

    digital platforms

    .
