✓ Conduct workshops with Product Owner & Product Manager to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
✓ Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data flows.
✓ Work with technical teams to understand the technical aspects of the project and how they align with business needs.
✓ Develop detailed functional specifications that clearly outline the project requirements, scope, objectives, and deliverables.
✓ Ensure that functional specifications are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with business goals. ✓ Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that functional specifications are technically feasible and align with the overall system architecture.
✓ Create detailed user stories and use cases that capture the functional requirements and user interactions with the system.
✓ Prioritize user stories based on business value and technical feasibility.
✓ Maintain a backlog of user stories and ensure they are kept up-to-date and well-documented.
✓ Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective communication and understanding.
✓ Facilitate regular meetings with Delivery Head, Product Owner and project stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress, status and gather feedback.
✓ Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise related to functional requirements during the project lifecycle.
✓ Collaborate with QA teams to develop Test Plan and Test cases based on functional specifications and user stories.
✓ Participate in testing activities to ensure that the delivered solutions meet the functional requirements and are free of defects.
✓ Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
✓ Use MS Office tools, UML and flow-charting techniques to create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all requirements, specifications, user stories, and project-related artifacts.
✓ Ensure that all documentation is up to date with versioning and accessible to relevant team members
✓ 5 to 8 years IT experience with at least 5 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst on development projects.
✓ Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of both business and functional requirements and also technical aspects of projects.
✓ Proficiency in creating detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
✓ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into functional requirements.
✓ Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with US-based customers, onsite teams, and offshore teams based in Hyderabad.
✓ Ability to multi-task as needed, work under pressure and flexible work hours may be required to accommodate project deadlines and stakeholder availability.
✓ Self-starter, comfortable in early-stage start-up environment.
✓ Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
✓ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
✓ Certification in Business Analysis like CBAP, PMI-PBA etc., will be added advantage.
