Job Title: Business Analyst

Experience: 3 to 6 Years

CTC: ₹4 Lakhs – ₹7 Lakhs per annum

Location: Coimbatore

Job Purpose

The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding, analyzing, and clearly documenting

business requirements and processes. The role involves initiating, discovering, defining, and shaping solutions across projects and products. The Business Analyst works closely with stakeholders, project teams, and product teams to interpret business needs, analyze data, and deliver insights that support informed decision-making and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

 Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

 Conduct workshops, JAD/RAD sessions, interviews, and surveys to elicit requirements.

 Prioritize requirements and translate business needs into clear specifications, user stories,

and acceptance criteria.

Business Process Analysis & Modelling

 Analyse existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, risks, and improvement

opportunities.

 Develop process maps, flowcharts, use cases, process diagram and business process

models using appropriate techniques and tools.

 Document task analysis and process models to support solution design and optimization.

Documentation

 Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional &

Nonfunctional Requirement Documents (FRD), use cases, and related artifacts.

 Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of requirements throughout the project

lifecycle.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

 Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and project stakeholders.

 Build and maintain strong professional relationships to ensure clear communication and

alignment with business goals.

Project & Agile Support

 Collaborate with project and product management teams on feasibility studies, solution

design, and business justification.

 Support Agile/Scrum delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, user

story creation and estimation.

 Help remove blockers and facilitate timely business and technical decisions.

Testing, Change & Risk Management

 Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

 Identify business risks and issues, assess impacts, and support mitigation planning.

 Assist in change management activities, including user support and transition to new

processes.

Technical & Functional Skills

 Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, structured analysis, and business analysis techniques.

 Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data analytics tools is an advantage.

 Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Tools & Technologies

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar project and

documentation tools.

 Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Soft Skills

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

 High attention to detail with strong documentation skills.

 Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and demonstrate resilience in a fast-

paced environment.

 Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred around 4 years of experience and complete knowledge of agile.
