As a Business Analyst specialized in direct taxation, you will be involved in a key project with the Income Tax Department. Your role will require you to analyze, define, and implement solutions that align with the Department's objectives. Working closely with stakeholders from both your organization and the Income Tax Department will be crucial for the successful delivery of this project. Responsibilities: - Tax Process Analysis and Optimization: Analyze and enhance tax processes, streamline workflows, and document current and future states. - Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Elicit and document tax-related requirements, translating them into specifications for technical teams. - Tax Systems Implementation and Support: Engage in tax system implementation, offer user support, and ensure systems meet tax requirements. - Tax Law Research and Compliance: Stay abreast of tax laws, ensure compliance, and assist with tax audits. - Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze tax data, create reports and dashboards, and uphold data integrity. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to comprehend needs and provide suitable solutions. Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant (CA) certification. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in a tax-related role. - Strong grasp of tax laws and regulations. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Detail-oriented, capable of working independently or in a team. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as a Business Analyst in tax or finance. - Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. - Project management experience. - Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
