Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Business Analyst

to support our software development projects. The ideal candidate should have 5- 7 years of experience with strong analytical skills, an understanding of business processes, and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The BA will help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation
Conduct interviews, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
Capture and translate business needs into clear, detailed requirements.
Document user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with product owners, developers, QA, and customers.
Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams.
Help prioritize features and manage scope during sprints.
Analysis and Documentation
Perform as-is vs. to-be analysis, identify gaps and recommend solutions.
Prepare BRD, FRD, workflow diagrams, and visual models.
Support the development team in understanding requirements clearly.
Testing & Validation
Participate in UAT planning, test case reviews, and validation.
Assist with defect triaging and traceability between requirements and test results.
Reporting & Communication
Create and present project status reports, dashboards, and insights.
Document meeting notes, action items, and decisions effectively.

Requirements

Primary Skills

Requirement Gathering & Documentation (BRD, FRD, User Stories)
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Business Process Mapping & Gap Analysis
Agile/Scrum Methodology Understanding
Wireframing/Prototyping Tools (Balsamiq, Figma, Lucidchart)
Strong Communication & Presentation Skills
Data Analysis (Basic Excel, SQL, or Power BI exposure)
UAT Planning, Test Case Validation & Defect Reporting

Secondary Skills

Knowledge of SDLC & Software Delivery Lifecycle
Exposure to JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Familiarity with UML, Use Case Diagrams, BPMN
Basic understanding of APIs, Databases, and System Integrations
Documentation Standards and Change Request Handling
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or Domain-specific platforms (optional)
