About the Role -

Vice President – Water Tech


Education & Experience -

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in water resources engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related fields from a Tier 1 Institute
  • 12+ years of experience in water resources, hydrology solutions, or related sectors with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in executing large-scale water projects with government or multilateral funding agencies

  • Proven ability to lead complex hydrology project delivery while managing technical, regulatory, and stakeholder dimensions
  • Strong business acumen and hands-on experience with tendering, proposal writing, budgeting, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and effective stakeholder management


Key Responsibilities

Sales Partnership & Business Development

  • Deliver on the annual sales targets for the Water vertical by supporting pipeline conversion and strategic account development.
  • Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and achievement against targets for the vertical.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue streams in domestic and international markets
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support pre-sales efforts, customer pitches, and proposal development.
  • Provide domain expertise and inputs for RFPs, tenders, and solution positioning.

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Lead the Agriculture Business Unit with a clear vision, mission, and measurable goals.
  • Define and implement the BU’s annual strategy and operating plan in alignment with company objectives.
  • Scale the business through innovation, partnerships, and market expansion.
  • Own the overall success of the BU, including revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze BU performance and take corrective actions when needed.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Identify and resolve execution challenges in project delivery, support, and stakeholder communication by coordinating with Development Teams
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the projects in your Business Unit.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing cross-functional team across product, marketing, technology, and field operations
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track growth, customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction

Resource Planning & Team Leadership

  • Plan and fulfill resource requirements across domain, delivery, and support functions.
  • Build, coach, and retain a competent and motivated team.

Market Insight & Strategic Product Roadmap

  • Understand and anticipate challenges in the ecosystem — from field to policy level.
  • Stay informed on market trends, government schemes, rural tech innovations, and competitive landscape.
  • Strategically product offerings aligned to market needs and opportunities.


KPI’s

  1. Meet the sales target for the business unit with at least 80% of the target
  2. Ensure on time delivery within budgets
  3. Team Development – Upgrade domain capabilities
