Bookkeeper/Accountant

As a US Bookkeeping and Accounting professional, you will play a crucial role in managing international clients from countries like US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc. Your responsibilities include: - Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and building long-term trusted relationships through regular check-ins. - Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and reports in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS standards. - Ensuring accurate job costing, profitability tracking, and project-based reporting. - Managing, mentoring, and guiding a team of accountants/bookkeepers, reviewing their work to maintain accuracy and timeliness. - Driving process improvements and maintaining high-quality client deliverables. - Acting as the escalation point for complex client questions and providing strategic insights such as cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and tax planning. - Collaborating with internal CFO/advisory teams when necessary to enhance client service. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA is a plus). - 1-2 years of team leader experience in US accounting/bookkeeping and client-facing leadership roles. - Strong knowledge of international accounting standards like US GAAP/IFRS. - Experience in working with outsourced accounting/bookkeeping for international clients is preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to explain financial concepts in simple terms. - Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills. You should also have knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks Online/QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, and preferably Sage/NetSuite for larger clients.
