Strategic Initiatives
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional operations plan to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Participate in strategic projects such as green power initiatives, energy-saving programs, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Advocate and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards that meet local regulatory requirements and global audit/security norms. Review and recommend updates to Facility Management policies and procedures.
- Act as a domain expert providing advice to PAN India Facility Management, and collaborate with regional counterparts to adopt global best practices.
- Conduct facility capacity planning, monitor usage, and design strategic plans to meet current and future requirements.
- Contribute to CAMC contracts, scope of work finalization, and other aspects of Data Center operations.
- Support system upgrades and performance improvement activities.
- Experience with Site HOTO process and operations is desirable.
- Awareness of Data Center policies, procedures, and security compliance is an advantage.
Operations Excellence
- Lead and manage Data Center facilities at the regional level, ensuring 100% uptime.
- Handle risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance of critical BMS, FAS, and fire suppression systems to ensure 24x7 infrastructure uptime.
- Drive adoption of advanced infrastructure technologies and practices to create competitive advantages.
- Manage BMS-related assets, inventory, and incident handling.
- Develop and maintain operational metrics, analyze performance, and implement improvement plans.
- Establish performance benchmarks and contingency plans.
- Support service methodologies such as incident, problem, change, and capacity management, and associated reporting.
- Review AMC and SLA compliance, improve operational procedures, and ensure quality service delivery.
- Manage procurement and budgeting for facility operations.
- Handle internal and external audits.
- Experience in Data Center operation and resource management is preferred.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Maintain transparent, regular communication with management regarding facility operations.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with facility partners, construction teams, program managers, and security teams.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and business leaders to optimize Data Center operations for safety, performance, and efficiency.
- Handle customer visits and queries.
- Conduct project feasibility studies as per site requirements.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, quality, and service standards continuously.
Technical Skills
- Provide expert guidance in developing and managing Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Strong knowledge of utilities including generators, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, UPS, PACs, electrical distribution systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
- Preferred expertise with Honeywell EBI and XLS 1000 Fire Alarm Panels.
- Hands-on experience with DDC controllers, BMS graphics, and logic.
- Proficiency in open communication protocols such as Modbus 485/TCP-IP, BACnet MSTP/IP, HART, and SNMP.
- Identify and implement energy-saving opportunities.
- Experience with integration of BMS and ELV systems such as rodent repellent, water leak detection, and fire suppression systems.
- Lead internal teams and contractors in planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance of ELV systems and software upgrades.
- Basic understanding of IP networks, Windows OS, and web services.
- Perform fault diagnosis and rectification across BMS components including servers, controllers, and sensors.
- Analyze hardware/software issues to minimize service disruptions and risks.
- Stay updated with developments in building management technologies and related mechanical/electrical systems.
- Escalate issues requiring capital investments (e.g., replacement of recurring faulty components).
- Provide data for risk registers, condition surveys, and asset databases.
- Knowledge of internal auditing and monitoring processes.
- Exhibit customer-centric attitude, decisive leadership, and ability to manage distributed teams and 24x7 operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel 2530% of the time.
