Job Title: Block Development Manager (E-commerce) Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand ( All 14 Blocks Of Ranchi) Experience Required: 5–10 Years Industry: E-commerce / Online Retail Reporting To: Regional Operations Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Block Development Manager (BDM) to lead last-mile operations, drive partner/vendor development, and ensure customer satisfaction within a defined geographic block. The BDM will play a pivotal role in enhancing logistics efficiency, onboarding delivery service providers (DSPs), and enabling infrastructure growth to support the rapid scale-up of operations in line with business targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations & Logistics Management .Oversee end-to-end logistics, including order fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and reverse logistics. Monitor daily delivery performance, adherence to SLAs, and customer satisfaction metrics. Optimize route planning and ensure cost-effective operations. 2. Partner/Vendor Management .Identify, recruit, and onboard local delivery partners and third-party logistics providers. Ensure partner compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards. Conduct periodic audits and performance reviews for delivery partners. 3. Infrastructure Development Identify and develop logistics hubs, micro-fulfillment centers, and dark stores in the assigned block. Work with real estate and facilities teams to finalize sites and setup operations. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Tech, Customer Service, and Regional Operations. Serve as the point of contact for escalations and cross-functional coordination at the block level. 5. Data Analysis & Reporting .Analyze block-level KPIs like delivery TAT, partner performance, cost per shipment, and inventory accuracy. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred). 5–10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably in the e-commerce or retail sector. Strong knowledge of last-mile delivery models, warehousing, and vendor management. Proficiency in MS Excel, data analysis tools, and logistics management systems (LMS/WMS). Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage large teams and work in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
