Billing and Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• DPR, BOQ & Budgeting:
• Preparation of Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and identification of critical items.
• Monitoring revenue – monthly and cumulative, including billed vs. WIP.
• Review and projection of quarterly budgets as per SOP and approved schedules.
• Daily monitoring and control of costs related to major items.

2. Billing & Reconciliation:

• Timely preparation and submission of RA bills and PV bills; coordination for approvals and collections.
• Fortnightly reconciliation of billing with estimated quantities.
• Prepare and submit client bills in line with the approved BOQ.
• Preparation of billing summaries, abstracts, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare subcontractor bills aligned with client billing and manage debit notes from the store if applicable.

3.Measurement & Coordination:

• Conduct site measurements as required for client billing.
• Coordinate with contractors and site engineers for joint measurements and verifications.
• Ensure measurements follow IS codes and contractual agreements.

4.Material & Resource Monitoring:

• Weekly reporting on status of materials, plant & machinery (P&M), and manpower at the site.
• Reconciliation of construction materials: actual vs. consumption.
• Reconciliation of contractor bills and material usage.

5.Client & Vendor Coordination:

• Regular coordination with clients and vendors to ensure billing accuracy and smooth operations.
• Verification and validation of vendor bills.
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance during billing activities.

6.Software Skills:

• Proficient in ERP systems related to construction project management.
• Should be conversant with MS Excel and AutoCAD for quantity take-offs and billing purposes.

7.Reporting:

• Preparation of daily labor progress reports.
• Generate reports for WIP status, billing progress, and budget performance.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• ERP Software: Must be proficient in ERP platforms used in construction (e.g., Farvision, BuildSmart, SAP, Candy, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of BOQ and contract agreements.
• Capability to work under tight timelines and multi-task.
• Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards at site.
