Position Overview:

The Bar Man is responsible for preparing and serving beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. The role involves ensuring adherence to company standards, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at the bar, and providing an engaging guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve beverages (cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, soft drinks) as per standard recipes and guest preferences.
  
• Ensure proper stock rotation, requisition, and replenishment of bar supplies.
  
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar counter, glassware, and equipment.
  
• Greet guests warmly and provide personalized recommendations on drinks.
  
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
  
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
  
• Accurately record beverage orders and ensure proper billing through POS system.
  
• Assist in beverage promotions, upselling premium brands, and suggesting food pairings.
  
• Maintain daily bar records (inventory, wastage, breakage).
  
• Coordinate with the service team and kitchen for smooth operations.
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar role in hotels or premium restaurants.
  
• Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and cocktails.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Positive attitude, customer service oriented, and team player.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  

Education & Certification:

• Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management or relevant field preferred.
  
• Certification in bartending or mixology will be an added advantage.
