About the Role We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our high-performing team in Hyderabad, working on the core authorization and settlement systems of a healthcare payments platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of systems that process high-volume, high-value financial transactions within a mission-critical environment. As part of our global technology organization, youll help define and execute automated and manual testing strategies that ensure the platform meets rigorous quality, regulatory, and security standards, especially in the context of payments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts (automated and manual) for payment workflows including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to define quality standards and acceptance criteria. Work on end-to-end functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Automate test cases using modern frameworks like Selenium, SpecFlow, Playwright, or similar. Ensure high test coverage and build automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions). Validate integrations with external payment gateways and clearing partners. Perform root cause analysis for defects and issues in production and pre-production environments. Ensure systems are compliant with standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and internal security policies. Support performance/load testing using tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Required Qualifications 4–7 years of experience in software QA, with a strong background in functional, regression, and automation testing. Experience testing systems developed in .NET Core, Web APIs, and SQL Server-based backends. Proven experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, SpecFlow, NUnit/XUnit). Strong understanding of payments workflows, particularly authorization and settlement processes. Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar. Familiarity with SQL for data validation and backend testing. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably in CircleCI or similar tools. Experience with healthcare, finance, or regulated environments is a strong plus. Preferred Skills Experience with payment gateway testing (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, Worldpay). Knowledge of ISO 8583, ACH, or NACHA messaging formats. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6. Familiarity with security and compliance testing (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, OWASP). Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
