Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Business Analyst cum Tester
who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding client requirements, documenting business processes, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery through functional and regression testing.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Convert business needs into clear BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirement clarity.
- Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, and review meetings.
- Perform gap analysis and suggest process improvements.
- Support project coordination and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Testing Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Identify, report, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and ensure quality closure.
- Ensure product quality aligns with business expectations before release.
- Support UAT activities and client sign-offs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst / Tester.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Good knowledge of test case design techniques and defect lifecycle.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively across teams.
Good to Have
- Experience working in product-based or service-based IT environments.
- Exposure to automation testing basics.
- Understanding of APIs, databases, or SQL.
- Prior experience in client-facing roles.
