B2B Sales Executive Solar Utility (Commercial & Industrial)

Role Overview

The B2B Sales Executive will be responsible for driving business growth by selling solar energy solutions to commercial and industrial clients, identifying new business opportunities, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, target, and engage potential commercial and industrial clients for solar solutions through effective networking, prospecting, and marketing campaigns.

- Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installations, including technical analysis of energy needs, roof size, and shading.

- Design customized solar energy proposals based on customer requirements, collaborating with internal technical teams as needed.

- Present detailed sales pitches to clients, explaining the technical and financial benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and available incentives.

- Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals and quotations, and close sales in line with organizational targets.

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the organization.

- Manage and expand client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact before, during, and after installation.

- Track all sales activities through CRM software, ensuring accurate documentation and pipeline follow-up.

- Stay updated on solar industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting business clients.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in the solar utility/EPC or renewable energy sector.

- Technical knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, including major component types, installation processes, and energy production calculations.

- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including analytical ability to prepare financial models and project ROI for clients.

- Excellent verbal and written communication, especially for presenting technical solutions to senior commercial and industrial buyers.

- Ability to build rapport and manage long-term client relationships.

- Familiarity with CRM tools and pipeline management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
