Job Description

Position / Business Accountability:


Scope of Role

Corporate Acquisition & Pipeline Development

Drive new business by identifying and approaching corporates—both large organizations and SMEs—across India. Establish a structured sales funnel and execute strategies to ensure continuous pipeline growth.

Risk Profiling & Client Needs Mapping

Evaluate client operations to uncover potential risks, assess existing coverage, and determine unmet insurance requirements.

Customized Solutions & Proposal Drafting

Design comprehensive insurance solutions spanning fire, marine, engineering, liability, cyber, employee benefits, and other segments. Work closely with underwriters to secure optimal terms and premium structures.

Negotiation & Conversion

Lead discussions with key decision-makers to secure agreements, ensuring alignment with performance targets and revenue objectives.

Client Servicing & Retention

Act as the relationship anchor for corporate accounts—overseeing renewals, assisting with claims, and identifying cross-sell or upsell opportunities. Build trust to strengthen long-term associations.

Market & Competitive Insights

Keep abreast of regulatory updates, emerging risks, and competitor positioning to adapt sales approaches and identify untapped opportunities.

Performance Tracking & Analytics

Measure sales progress against forecasts and KPIs. Develop periodic dashboards, insights, and performance reports for leadership review.

Key Competencies
  • Strong corporate network and industry relationships.
  • Consistent history of achieving or surpassing revenue targets.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues and guiding teams through influence.
  • Comfort with digital tools—broking platforms, analytics, and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client interactions and growth initiatives.
Background & Experience
  • 5–15 years in corporate insurance sales or broking.
  • Solid grasp of broking practices, underwriting collaborations, and technical know-how across diverse general insurance categories.
