Sales Consultant – Automobile (4‑Wheeler Sales) – Experienced (1–6 Years) Position Overview An experienced Sales Consultant in the 4-wheeler segment is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing leads, achieving sales targets, and ensuring end-to-end closure—from initial inquiry to vehicle delivery. This role demands depth in product knowledge, adept negotiation, and strong rapport-building skills, especially for seasoned professionals with 1–6+ years of automotive sales experience. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Sales Greet and consult walk-in and online customers; perform detailed needs assessments and match them with suitable vehicle models and features. Conduct product demonstrations and test drives; explain specifications and facilitate the customer’s purchase decision. Proactively generate new leads through cold calling, networking, or engaging at events and social platforms. Negotiate pricing, promotions, financing, insurance, and exchange offers; close deals while ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction. Documentation & Process Management Oversee the complete sales cycle: lead entry, quotation, booking, test drive scheduling, payment processing, vehicle registration, delivery, and post-sale follow-ups. Maintain accurate records via CRM or DMS and ensure compliance with dealership SOPs and reporting standards. Product Knowledge & Market Awareness Stay updated on product variants, industry trends, competitors' offerings, and promotional strategies. Engage in training and mock demonstrations to deepen product expertise. Performance & Reporting Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs. Provide feedback on customer trends and competitor insights to sales leadership for strategic advantage. Candidate Profile Requirement Details Experience 1–6 years in automobile sales (dealerships such as Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Volkswagen, etc.) Education Minimum: 10+2; Preferred: Graduate/Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field License Valid 4-wheeler driving license (mandatory) Skills: • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Proficiency in CRM/DMS tools. Strong product knowledge and customer orientation. Fluent in regional/local language(s) where applicable (e.g., Bengali, Hindi). Characteristics Presentable, target-driven, proactive, resilient under pressure, coachable, and able to work flexible hours (including weekends). Compensation & Benefits Remuneration: Competitive base salary, typically ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹35,000/month in early-career roles; experienced consultants may earn significantly more, depending on dealership and city. Incentives: Attractive commission, performance bonuses, and sometimes annual bonuses. Benefits: Provident Fund, ESI, health insurance, life insurance, reimbursements for mobile or fuel, etc. Work Schedule: Typically 9-hour day shift, with weekend flexibility or rotational offs as needed.
