We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with 4+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, and executing automated testing frameworks for web applications and backend services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Vitest, or Jest, have solid experience with API testing, and possess an understanding of cloud platforms and CI/CD processes.

You’ll work closely with developers and product teams to ensure every software release meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. Experience with React and Node.js application testing, along with Python scripting and basic Machine Learning model testing, will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications built with React and Node.js.
• Use tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Vitest, and Jest to develop robust and scalable automation frameworks.
• Maintain test suites to ensure they reflect ongoing code changes and product evolution.
• Perform RESTful API testing, including endpoint validation, data integrity checks, and response validation.
• Use mocking techniques to simulate backend services and isolate dependencies.
• Write tests for Python-based machine learning models to validate performance, accuracy, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists to define appropriate testing and evaluation strategies for ML models.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Identify, document, and track bugs; collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Generate test execution reports and provide QA sign-off for releases.
• Work closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in design and requirements reviews to ensure testability and quality metrics are addressed early in the cycle.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous quality checks.
• Perform testing in environments hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 4+ years of experience in automation testing for web applications and APIs.
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of React and Node.js application testing strategies.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and testing methods for ML models.
• Hands-on experience with one or more automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Vitest, Jest (or similar).
• Proficiency in RESTful API testing and mocking.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and querying.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.

NICE TO HAVE qualifications:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• Experience with observability frameworks such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Familiarity with containerized test environments using Docker.
• ISTQB or similar testing certification.
