Automation Test Engineer (Java/Selenium/Playwright)

Position Summary-

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development:

  Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Playwright for web applications.

• Test Execution and Analysis:

  Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with the development team for timely bug resolution.

• Framework Enhancement:

  Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks, integrating new tools and methodologies to improve overall testing efficiency and coverage.

• CI/CD Integration:

  Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  Document test plans, test cases, and test results clearly, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

• Best Practices:

  Advocate for and implement best practices in quality assurance and test automation across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Strong Java proficiency for automation scripting and framework development.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
• Understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum principles.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (TestNG/JUnit) and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman/REST Assured) and SQL is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
