Job Description

Position Summary The incumbent will be responsible for electrical design, automation configuration, and shop floor testing of control panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical schematics using E-Plan software Participate in kick-off meetings with customers to understand requirements Develop control system architecture, including PLC and drive selection Collaborate with vendors to integrate new technologies into designs Standardize drawings by creating macros and maintaining records on the server Prepare control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, ensuring customer approval Work closely with engineering and execution teams to meet design specifications and standards Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and regulations Identify and resolve electrical design issues as they arise Maintain accurate project documentation and update records as needed Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for design efficiency and accuracy Prepare IO lists, load calculations, sensor lists, cable lists, and bills of materials Oversee procurement releases and assist with cost estimation for new projects Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field technicians, and clients for seamless coordination Generate technical reports, including cable diagrams, terminal diagrams, parts lists, and enclosure legends using E-Plan Define and manage signal exchanges with customers' PLC systems Candidate Profile: B. Tech in Electrical and Electronic or Electronic Communication/Electronic and Instrumentation Engineering, Diploma in Mechatronics Good academic records, 60 % & above across all academics 4 to 6 years’ experience in Electrical design. EPLAN hands on Experience is a must. Project Experience – Must have completed minimum 2-3 projects on Material Handling lines, Experience across Steel industry, Food & beverages, Glass industry, System house would be an added advantage Proficient in E-Plan P8 2.9, 2025 software.
