As an Assurance Manager at EY, you will play a crucial role in supporting a portfolio of engagements by leading a team and ensuring timely and high-quality work delivery. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates to support engagements - Ensuring timely and high-quality work delivery in accordance with EY methodology - Demonstrating a strong understanding of EY methodology and supporting quality projects - Developing and maintaining relationships with key engagement team counterparts - Transitioning new engagements and services to GDS Assurance while maintaining high service quality - Managing work flow, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and operational matters - Upholding professionalism, competence, and clear communication with internal and external teams - Establishing expectations for value delivery and identifying opportunities for process improvement - Standardizing assurance processes and leveraging best practices - Encouraging team growth, delegating work effectively, and conducting performance reviews - Utilizing technology and tools for continual learning and knowledge sharing - Contributing to technical and soft-skills training for team development - Participating in organizational initiatives such as recruitment, diversity, and inclusiveness Skills and attributes required for success in this role include: - Expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards - Knowledge of UK GAAP or US GAAP and International assurance standards - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - Interpersonal, risk management, facilitation, and presentation skills - Project management, leadership, coaching, counseling, and supervisory skills - Ability to promote positive work culture, teaming, and live EY values - Ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues globally To qualify for this role, you must have: - Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience - Qualified ACCA / CPA with 7-8 years of post-qualification experience - Articleship with other top or mid-tier accounting firms - Experience in mid- or top-tier accounting firms or MNCs within a Shared Service Environment - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and interest in business and commerciality Additionally, the role offers opportunities to work with EY GDS Assurance practices globally, collaborate with leading businesses, and be part of a diverse and inclusive culture aimed at building a better working world.
