This offsite Internship offers you the opportunity to engage in the day-to-day operations of a Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist within a clinical setting at Shanti Clinic, New Vadaj, Ahmedabad. During this internship, you will become familiar with the professional environment and workflow, enabling you to enhance your clinical knowledge, gain confidence, and be exposed to a specific psychology specialty. The internship consists of 3 slots and has a duration of 1 month, starting in February 2025, with timings from 10am to 2pm. Throughout this internship, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by assisting clients, observing and analyzing therapy sessions, learning detailed Case History taking and Mental Status Examination (MSE), and receiving in-depth training modules covering crucial topics. Additionally, you will learn client diagnosis techniques and be involved in planning, evaluating, and implementing treatment sessions. Your responsibilities during this internship will include assisting in developing and implementing treatment plans, thoroughly studying DSM-5 for diagnosis assistance, participating in case consultations, engaging in clinical observation to understand clients" challenges and methods, as well as taking concise notes and submitting assignments in a timely manner. To be eligible for this internship, you should have a Bachelors's degree in Psychology and/or be pursuing Post-graduation in psychology. It is required that you reside in Ahmedabad or extended parts of Gujarat. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic counseling skills, and knowledge of treatment techniques are also essential.
