Role & responsibilities

  • This position focuses on supporting the companys international business development and presales activities by identifying and engaging potential clients globally, generating qualified leads, and assisting in converting prospects into sales opportunities.
  • Identify & connect potential international clients and decision-makers globally especially across North America, ROW & Europe regions.
  • Conduct desktop-based research in targeted market & therapeutic areas.
  • Generate high-quality international leads and proactively develop a self-owned business pipeline.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline of leads aligned with KPIs and business goals.
  • Initiate discussions and build relationships with potential customers across global markets.
  • Provide presales assistance by preparing lead information and insights that help senior sales colleagues.
  • Align presales activities with overall international business goals and corporate strategy
  • Support preparation of proposals, presentations and sales materials tailored for international prospects.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decisions and strategic business growth
  • Prepare regular sales/lead reports for management review.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in cutting-edge CRM tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Respond to technical or commercial queries from prospects as part of the engagement process.
  • Coordinate with business development teams in other regions (e.g., Europe) for aligned engagement.
  • Work closely with BD Managers, marketing teams, and technical subject-matter experts to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all tracking tools and systems.
  • Use tools like LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and industry databases to source prospects.

Preferred candidate profile

  • B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry) + PGDBM/MBA (Marketing/International Business) with 2+ yrs of experience in Business Development or Presale especially in a

    chemistry CRO (Contract Research Organization)

    or related domain.
  • Knowledge of Chemistry CRO / Drug Discovery / Medicinal Chemistry would be added advantage.
  • Front-end sales orientation

    and confidence in initiating business discussions
  • Experience with

    CRM systems

    and digital research tools like LinkedIn, Sales Navigator.
  • Work with cutting-edge CRM tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Solid work experience in B2B pre-sales work with excellent English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage data accurately, and handle KPIs
  • Analytical mind-set with strong research skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
