● Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
● Track and control project costs to prevent overruns and maximize efficiency.
● Provide financial forecasts and reports to senior management.
● Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
● Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best commercial terms.
● Ensure all contracts are legally sound and comply with company policies.
● Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
● Manage claims, variations, and contract disputes efficiently.
● Oversee procurement processes, ensuring competitive pricing and value for money.
● Optimize resource allocation and material procurement to reduce wastage.
● Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term cost benefits.
● Conduct periodic cost reviews and suggest optimizations.
● Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commercial and project management professionals.
● Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor team progress.
● Foster collaboration within the team and with cross-functional departments.
● Provide training and support to enhance the team’s efficiency and commercial acumen.
● Drive a high-performance culture within the commercial team.
● Work closely with project managers, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless
● execution.
● Communicate project financials and risks to key stakeholders.
● Support decision-making through detailed financial analysis and insights.
● Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies for financial compliance.
● Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
● Ensure compliance with industry standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
● Monitor cash flow to ensure the financial stability of projects.
● Conduct regular audits and financial performance evaluations.
● Have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering .
● Have 10+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably in retail or construction projects.
● Have strong negotiation, financial analysis, and contract management skills.
● Have proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial modeling tools.
● Have the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
