Job : Business Development Manager
Reporting to: DGM Sales/Branch Manager-Chennai
Location: Tuticorin
1) Generate Sales leads for the assigned territory for dry and other special equipment and revenue through independently growing existing account lines and soliciting new customers.
2) Develop business and achieve target in line with the sales plan to move the volume of all types of containers for the assigned territory
3) Identify and reach out to potential customers in need of all types of containers and send to targeted sectors across Goodrich Logistics group.
4) Proactively maximize and manage volumes, revenue and margins in order to deliver optimal results.
5) Established strong relationships with major accounts and key decision-makers to increase sales in designated territory.
6) Generate leads through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and networking etc
7) Keep a track record of the market and find strategies to increase conversions and volumes in the NVOCC industry
8) Report sales activity, generated sales quotations, RFQs and proposals and maintained customer contact database to achieve sales objectives
9) Negotiate prices and terms of sale with customers.
10) Achieving targets by convincing customers for best freight rates and ensuring timely collection as per the process.
11) Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Provide exceptional after-sales service and support.
12) Stay in regular contact with customers to ensure repeat business.
13) Understanding the current market trends, industry regulations, pricing dynamics, and global trade patterns.
Any graduate (MBA preferred)
Experience:
8-12 years' experience in NVOCC/Freight forwarding Industry
Skillset:
1) exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in english and in local language
2) Customer Centric
3) Target Oriented
4) Good understanding and updates for Trade is required
5) Good Negotiation skills -Ability to negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to get the best deals while maintaining profitability.
6)Should have good relationship with Shipping lines
7) Good Knowledge of commercials of all sectors, trade lanes for general, odc, project Cargo,Reefer cargo, special equipment etc.
9)Good knowledge of Hazardous Commercials of all classes
10) Presentation Skills
11) Team Player
12) Expertise in data analysis, negotiation and strategy to increase business
