Assistant Quality Manager

Role & responsibilities

Act as a key person and catalyst to implement and promote Quality Management System and Environment, Occupational Health & Safety Management System (IMS) within the organisation

• Maintenance of IMS.
• Reporting to top management in regards to IMS.
• Plan and implementation of Internal and External audits.
• Plan and implementation of Safety Audits.
• Plan and implementation of Product and Process audits.
• Customer complaint handling and its resolution. On site visits and Direct communication with customer if necessary.
• Implementation of statistical techniques on shop floor (In consultation with Production Manager).
• Lead and Implement Corrective and Preventive actions related to IMS.
• Prepare presentations related to IMS for Management Review Meetings MRM.
• Ensure MRM as per schedule.
• Lead and Implement KAIZEN intiative and create a healthy cullture on Suggestion system.
• Lead/Partcipate in Quality circle, Team building and other related activities.
• Be a Management Representative for the company and fullfill all the MR responsibilites.
• Liasion with external product & service providers (suppliers) to ensure that their products or services meet the organization's quality standards.
• Communicate with parent company on quality issues in the prodcut supplied by them.
• Ensure that quality, health and safety and environment requirements are determined and are met with the aim of minimizing risk and maintaining effective controls.
• Ensuring proper storage of Hazardous waste such as oil soaked cotton, Used oil, contaminated container and waste residue etc.
• Imaprt environment health and safety related training to all people working in the process
• Ensure proper segregation and storage of E-waste.

2. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for IMS training to all persons within organisation as necessary
• Identification of training needs in regards to quality, Environment and Safety.
• To keep the monitoring and measuring devices (MMD) as per the standard requirement.
• In-house calibration activity.
• Dock audits.
• Be a part of the new project and advise on requirements of IMS standards, specifications and procedures applied.
• Promoting and enhancing supplier quality management systems.
• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning / Part Production Approval Process (APQP/ PPAP) activities.
• • Participate in Global conference calls on Quality performance.
• • Support Sourcing team on Supplier Quality Management.

Preferred candidate profile

B. E. (Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering)

Other Essential qualification: Certified Internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015 in accordance with ISO 19011.

Certified Internal auditor for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 will have preference.
