Job Description

ROLE:

The Asst. Quality Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO standards and customer requirements to ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Quality Management System (QMS) • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001 / customer-specific QMS. • Ensure compliance with QMS procedures, work instructions, and quality policies. • Lead internal and external audits (customer, ISO, third party). • Close audit findings within targeted timelines.

2. Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection • Monitor and control inspection activities for incoming materials, in-process, and final products. • Ensure preparation and implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP). • Ensure adherence to drawings, codes, specifications, and customer requirements.

3. Non-Conformance Control • Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper root cause analysis (RCA). • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Monitor rework, repair, and rejection trends.

4. Customer Quality Management • Manage customer quality requirements and complaints. • Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and submission of 8D / CAPA reports. • Participate in customer audits and meetings.

5. Supplier Quality Management • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance. • Conduct supplier audits and development programs. • Ensure proper supplier evaluation and rating.

6. Documentation & Records Control • Ensure preparation and control of quality documents: o Quality Manual o SOPs & Procedures o Formats & Records o WPS, PQR, WPQ (if applicable) • Maintain proper traceability and quality records.

7. Process Control & Improvement • Analyse process capability and quality trends. • Identify risks and improvement opportunities using tools like: o 5 Why o Fishbone o FMEA o SPC/SQC o 8D • Drive continuous improvement projects.

8. Team Management & Training • Lead and manage QA/QC team. • Identify training needs and arrange technical training for inspectors and operators. • Conduct internal training on quality tools and procedures. JOB DESCRIPTION
